This is an outrage.  It is an intentional slap in the face to all Americans who respect history and Southern heritage.

The Leftists hate us.  They are at war with us.  They will do all they can to attack us.   Never forget that.

A reckoning is coming.  It's long overdue.

I never set foot in that shithole without a gun and my eyes on a swivel. And you wouldn't have found my pasty ass anywhere near Monument Ave. this past year.

I took the wife out for her birthday a few days ago and we ended up in the city. I saw more than a few places with handwritten signs taped to the front window somewhere reading "Black Lives Matter". They probably had them there in attempts to keep from being looted or to keep from going out of business from being boycotted.

I think he, pretty much, belongs right where he is.

Too bad no one remembers what he thought, said, preached.

Amen to that.  We're a long way down the road from Birmingham and Selma.

And tremendous amounts of empathy, support, trust and good will have been squandered by his successors.

i don`t quite follow how The Governor has that power?

is there something that says he can remove and reallocate artwork or Historical Monuments at will.

i`m not necessarily against any Museum getting them if he has that power, but do they have to actually care for them and Display them with Honor like they were intended?

these are some pretty important questions, because if someone becomes Governor and removes say MLK or G.W, Carver or Frederik Douglas or Harriet Tubman and gives it to Whomever he wishes this may cause Problems. the Proper place to those statues is where they were Originally placed and in a manner they were placed for.

The Daughters of the Confederacy financed a building on the Vanderbilt campus years ago and named it something like “Confederate Memorial Hall” (May have been a slightly different name but you get the idea). Vanderbilt decided to rename it. The funding group said “Wait a minute here. The donation was based on the naming.” Vandy attempted to move forward anyway, but a court said they couldn’t without refunding the donation plus interest. Supposedly a private donor provided the money.

Maybe some of the monuments being arbitrarily removed have a similar train of financing. A few lawsuits causing agitators to pay up might have a calming effect.

The VA Supreme Court ruled at the end of last summer...
