China's disastrous one-child policy is finally starting to kick in

Rather interesting read about China.

I’ve long known that China’s one-child policy, which resulted in the abortion of up to 40 million female babies, was going to have far-reaching consequences. My assumption was that women would become more valuable and be better treated, but I didn’t realize that their increased value might spell the beginning of the end of the Communist Party.

"If you're not familiar with Daniel Greenfield, who writes at FrontPage Magazine and at his own site, I am not exaggerating when I say you're missing one of the most astute thinkers on the internet.  Most recently, he's turned his gimlet eye on the terrible effect on China of the one-child policy, when combined with urban affluence and nascent feminism.

I've long known that China's one-child policy, which resulted in the abortion of up to 40 million female babies, was going to have far-reaching consequences.  My assumption was that women would become more valuable and be better treated, but I didn't realize that their increased value might spell the beginning of the end of the Communist Party.

Greenfield, however, suggests that the massive demographic imbalance, with men far outnumbering women, paired with a rising yuppie class that's materialistic and creates women who have no interest in marriage and children, is causing a slo-mo collapse in China.  This is true despite Xi Jinping's bluster and military expenditures."

My Uncle Elton used to talk about Viet Nam and he'd say "If you put a walst and a bumblebee in a jar together they'll fight one another until one of 'em's dead. The United States and the communists are fundamentally mutually opposed societal philosophies which cannot be reconciled. We can get along with 'em for a while, but eventually they'll have to kill us or they'll disappear."

And what do frustrated males do? Why, start wars, rape and pillage, conquests......

Well, historically cultures that have more males than females do tend to "fix" the problem by going to war and thus killing off the excess males.  This is also a tendency in cultures where men can have multiple wives - the imbalance leaves a certain percentage of the men with no wives, which may explain some things about the Middle East.

Just a matter of who's system will rot from the inside first.

I have a lot more faith in our system.  We have had a pretty amazing experience as a nation.

Some people will throw this out with the bath water.   But I think America has the potential to truly be even more great.

We just need people to believe in our nation once again.

A problem also when the Mormons practiced polygamy, and still is in the Arizona Strip where some still practice it.

A problem is that two or three generations have now been indoctrinated that capitalism - and thus the West (and the USA) - is what’s wrong with the world today.

Sadly you are right.  And if things don't change they will throw this amazing experience away.

I agree.

To achieve this end, Americans must again believe in their ability to use their knowledge to make themselves competitive with others.   We each have to believe in ourselves!

The trend so far is to make people less aggressive and kill their willingness to succeed through effort and hard work.  The emphasis now is to be dependent on those in charge to give you what you perceive you deserve.

You have to understand that each and every one of us is the only hope for our individual achievement.  You do not win by being dependent on others.   Others are focused on their own development, not yours.

The truth is you deserve nothing!  You reap the rewards of your own effort and it's up to you to make this happen.  You cannot depend on anyone else to secure your future.  You are the only one that has an interest in your success or failure.

Now you are being taught that failure is not your fault, but the fault of a nebulous "society" that will not reward your wants and desires thus hurting your feelings.

The people telling you this are insecure and immature in that they lack the determination to win and are afraid of pitting their abilities against the rest.

They strive for a society where they are given rewards for not standing up and fighting for what they want.  They depend on simply existing and passiveness to progress.  To bring attention to yourself is to bring retribution for your audacity to be different.

As soon as we again realize that no one cares about your feelings, wants, and desires, but you, the sooner you will be able to regain the drive to be your best and prove to everyone you have the will to succeed.  Our society was built on the individual's achievements and these achievements together make you and the rest of us strong.

Everything you have can be taken away from you EXCEPT your talent and will to succeed and self-determination.  These are yours and no one has the ability to take them from you.

I speak from experience and someday I will post my history to prove my claim.
