Christmas Catalogs

The Sears wish book drove the mall-santa into extinction.  Spend weeks poring over it, circle stuff with a magic marker, dogear the pages and give it back to Mom.  She'll tell Santa, or however that works.

Since you didn't have to physically go see Santa,  the mall's black-friday-season took a direct hit,  leading to their ultimate demise.

The malls and Santa are racist now, anyway.

Brady Bunch fashion clothing led to more deserved ass-kickings, than anything else a kid could do.

My mom made me invite all my friends over to have punch and cookies and watch the Lawrence Welk Show. She was going to show us how much better her music was than Rock and Roll.

They beat me up to show they loved me.

Want some fun? Look at cool items in the catalog and calculate the cost today in inflation adjusted dollars.

A 1970 25 inch console TV would cost us $4798 today.

And that old TV is blown away by any $300 HDTV. Best Buy has a Samsung 50” HDTV for $380, that is amazing to me.

My wife knows damn well there is a Santa!  I'm him!!!!!!

Tonight, at Denny's I found the sister of one of the managers and gave her a pair of earrings.  I told her how sorry I was to forget her and not her sister and her niece, along with the other waitresses.

See! I'm Santa for a limited number of women.

By the way, my wife knows I love giving jewelry to women.  She's afraid that I may branch out into lingerie like what I buy for her..............  I won't push my luck.

I wonder what the other customers think when we show up and the waitresses hug me and tell me I smell nice......................  MY wife just laughs, she knows I'm no real threat.

Christmas specials usually didn't have a womens underwear section. It was years before I realized this because I was so distracted by the toys, tools and electronics.

That might be Victorias Secret, she always ran underwear sales for every holiday and maybe she took business away from Sears and JC Penny.
