While I like the idea it will get you locked up in a flash.  Their gun laws are so strict many common firearms are not legal to own there.

Ok. But you leave yourself open to any and all attacks that way.

Simple solution - businesses and residents should move out of LA and relocate to civilized locations. And when they get to their new locations do NOT vote for the politicians and policies that turned LA into a shithole. Why is this hard for people (and liberals) to understand?

That won't happen. It is what made Cali what it is today. Remember, not too long ago, though weird in many ways, Cali was pretty conservative. Even the large cities.

As for the Evil? There is evil in the world that isn't describable. Well, it is, but a normal rational human being from the west would never believe it. Part of the reason I have no faith in people and am a cynical SOB. The inhuman race earned every bit of it.

Yes I know but California is one of those retreat states even in your own home.  Sad but true.

I was told in my CCW class that California is a "No duty to retreat state". If they come into your home to do you harm you can light them up. Deadly threats outside your home can also be met with deadly force.

I stand corrected, lived there for 35 years and all I will say is the devil is in the details.  You better be able to prove in court you were within seconds of death and have a good lawyer lined up.  While the instructor was technically correct they were doing no one a favor without more of an explanation.

"Under California self-defense laws, you have the right to “stand your ground” and protect yourself without retreating under certain circumstances. There is no state law statute that authorizes this right that there is no duty to retreat. Instead, case law and jury instructions recognize the right of a person to use force in self-defense without first trying to escape or run away (stand your ground), even if outside the home.

A California criminal jury instruction states that a person acted in lawful self-defense if he or she reasonably believed that:

  • There was an imminent danger of being killed or suffering great bodily injury;
  • the immediate use of deadly force was necessary to defend against that danger; and
  • he or she used no more force than was reasonably necessary to defend against that danger. (California jury instruction CalCrim 505)

Imminent danger must be immediate and present, and not prospective or even in the near future. An imminent danger is one that must be instantly dealt with. An example is having a deadly weapon such as a gun being pointed at your head."
