I've watched a few videos on that pistol, a whole bunch dropped yesterday when the media black-out was lifted.

Evidently these are truly better than the original FN BHPs. Better materials and manufacturing, better ergos, better barrel, and no magazine disconnect safety, so a better trigger. 86 years old and can still hang with the current crop of wonder-nines.

Evidently they are heavy sumbitchez though.

MSRP: $699.

I've gotta have one.

I predict that they sell a bazillion of these.

DAMNIT MAN!!!  THAT is impressive.

Whenever I took my Colt commander anywhere...back in 76, I carried it "Round in the Champer, Hammer at half cock, and the safety on.  I could "Cock, click" in the blink of an eye.  Can't do that nowdays.  Need "Striker Fired".  In my hand, pull the trigger or don't.  I am the safety.

Still...BEAUTIFUL Gun.  Hope ya get yours!!!

Of all my pistols the 1911 Old Kimber is the most comfortable and easiest to shoot.  No matter the manufacturer, the style is timeless and comfortable.  (The .45 caliber is my all time choice)   KUDOS!  You can't go wrong.

That's got me interested.  My Hi Power GP Competition was my first center fire auto loader and I still love trotting the old girl out to log some range time.  But I've always felt the need to pick up a regular Hi Power, but just couldn't justify the premium they charge for the used guns.  But Springfield is a brand I trust and I would love to have one of these.
