Best Sci-Fi Movie Ever

DUNE. Not the ones they've made so far, but the version I wish they'd make.

Forbidden Planet, Incredible Shrinking Man...

12 Monkeys was so close, not just for the delectable Dr. Railly, but also for the concept. I like time travel stories.

Mars Needs Women, 20,000,000 Miles to Earth, Zardoz...

I enjoyed the hell out of the 1984 Dune Movie.  If you hadn't read the first trilogy, you wouldn't be able to follow it though.  So much to cover in the 2 hrs and 17 minutes...

If you like Time Travel books Gwalchmai,  Pick up "The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, the Un Believer".  Just the First Triology.  Truly amazing series.  Now THAT is a triology That would make an AMAZING movie!!!  anybody Read it?  "Saltheart Foam Follower"...one hell of a dude...

I know this is Eric's favorite. :D

I'd would love to see a sequel to SpaceBalls before Mel Brooks departs us. SpaceBalls, The Search For More Money. Brooks is a comedic legend.

I personally don't think a sequel would be good without John Candy.

I enjoyed so many movies with him.   He was perfect in Plains, Trains and Automobiles.

As for Close Encounters....i saw that so many times growing up.   I should see it again.

There were amazing movies being made back then.  Close Encounters, Jaws, Indiana Jones, Star Wars.

So many great movies.

I think my favorite John candy movie is Summer Rental.
