Customer "service" phrases that should be OUTLAWED!!!

One vendor I have to call all the time, and go through their stupid Press 1 for......Press 2 for.....

And one of the options is to get information on inclement weather.

 

Why on earth they believe that's a necessary option, or what it's actually for, is beyond me. Speaking of which, I'm gonna try that option when they open. See what the dealio is.

The best of the "waiting on hold EVIL, customer service" I have found so far is the one that is COMPLETELY HONEST with exactly how long it's going to effing  take.

"...There are, *NUMBER* callers ahead of you. If you would like us to give you a call back and retain your place in line, please press *NUMBER*. If you would like to continue waiting, please stay on the line and your call will be answered in the order is which it was received..."
