I saw this today and I loved it. It was a plot idea that let its creators indulge themselves with all manner of cool special effects and fights and it all completely fit within the context of the universe they created. The bad guy character was poorly written, poorly cast and poorly acted, but everything else was very well done. Ryan Reynolds was great. That part could have been played by no one else.

The movie was a pointless romp, but a thoroughly enjoyable one. I give them points as well  for keeping today's racial/social/political BS mostly at arm's length. That is getting rare and it was refreshing not to have to wade through that garbage. This is a fun movie.
