NBC Olympics Ratings Are Abysmal

According to the article I just read, the ratings for this year's Olympics, through the first eight days of the games, are down 49% from 2016. NBC is trying to blame the COVID Pandemic, at least in part, for the lower ratings. I'm not sure how that theory tracks. If more people are stuck at home, you would think more people would be viewing, not less. A significant portion of this country is sick of the racist, anti-American agenda of these show ponies and they are voting with their remotes. Most of NBC's sponsors don't give a **** about these social issues. They are watching the bottom line and it is falling away beneath them. I hope NBC chokes on it. I am sick of this garbage.

My nephew wanted to watch the new Suicide Squad movie, so we watched it. Guess who the bad guys were? AMERICA! Well, America and her proxies, but the takeaway was that it was all Evil America's fault. James Gunn can kiss my man-size ass. I will never spend another dime on one of his movies. How much more of this **** are we going to put up with before we as a nation (Or the part that actually makes it a cohesive, productive nation), stop feeding the ones who are biting us?

I was mildly interested in Suicide Squad until I saw Cena Cuck out to China.

As for the olympics ratings:

I haven't watched a minute of the Ol Limp Iks this year. For that matter no MLB , NFL , NBA, NASCAR so far or in the future. All the PC B%@#$hit involved with sports , movies and TV in general are unbearable. The only sports I have watched are Pro Motocross , F1 and a little NHRA. I only watch old westerns and some of the older shows that can be seen on Get Tv and Grit Channel , and occasionally Gutfeld or Carlson. Sometimes I wonder why I even still have television.

I have been trying to vote with my wallet ever since the anti American hate wave started in 2015, and was very loud about it, but most people are followers, blind, ignorant and / or lazy.

By this time we are screwed. They do whatever they want and don't even hide it anymore.

The disease called liberalism has spread to every aspect of American life, in the end it was only a vehicle for votes and power. Side effects to come? Socialism, one party system, loss off freedom and liberty, gun banning, China will take over on the international stage, the US dollar will lose its world currency status, inflation, economical downturn that will last decades, governmental oppression, and we will be told what to do by the global agenda.

I was at happy hour earlier this week. They had speed walking on the bar T.V. There was a guy from Kenya sitting at the bar laughing his butt off watching it. He'd never seen anything like it. He said "you'll never see an African speed walker. African's are known for running fast."

I said "that makes sense. There are lions in Africa"

He thought that was very funny.😂

I was able to get a couple US channels on my first satellite dish, in the late 80s. Back in the day there was no provider, you had to piece it together yourself and find the satellites with the tuner and TV on the roof. One of those channels had top fuel racing on all the time. As I keep saying: I miss those times.

I remember watching Joe Amato run above 260mph for the first time, in his dragster. The commentators talked for five minutes about how the cars couldn’t go much faster and how dangerous that speed was. A few years later, Amato was the first driver to break 280mph, in a quarter. By the time he retired from driving in 2000, the cars were going well over 300mph.

Looks like they are finally stuck with current race limitations. They will need larger contact patches / tires if they want to get beyond 350, not counting jets etc.

There is always someone working on stickier tires and smarter clutches. I wonder if anyone ever built a dragster with tandem drive axles?

Haven’t the measuring distances for Top Fuel dragsters and funny cars been shortened to 1000 feet from the formerly sacred 1/4 mile? If so that would have shortened the ETs but I’m not sure it would have affected top speeds… or at least not much.

Funny how they will say what ever they think will make an impact instead of facing the cold facts. The networks, social media outlets, and internet covered the SJW "Woke" crowd like a blanket. Many Olympians achieved first time medal status for the US in their disciplines, and got barely a mention. Too bad, they deserved better and put God and country in praise for their support and achievements.

I haven't watched many new movies and Suicide Squad is one I have no plans on seeing. Tomorrow War was better than expected and I watched it thanks to reading reviews of such. If there was SJW in it, it was brief and hardly noticeable, and folks forget that current events often make their way into movies and always have in some way or another. SOme harp on it, some just show the influence, and try to keep it down. I guess some go in looking for stuff like that and stress over it to make sure they find it, but I'm not one of those. I want to be entertained.

I read NBC was going to add time without further charge for their sponsors thanks to the ratings being so low. I hope things settle, people get their heart right, and this doesn't make for less coverage of the Games. I truly enjoyed them in the past. I'm not holding my breath though.
