Not being a horse person but knowing a few…

Thoroughbreds are still supposed to be covered the old fashioned way, with witnesses to assure the owner of the mare that the stud rented was the one used. Don’t think this is a requirement for other breeds.

BUT… how often will the owner of a mega million dollar horse such as a triple crown winner risk him to possible physical injury or disease for a $200,000 stud fee?
