Ate supper at a restaurant on Skyline Drive last week. A two car charging station had two Teslas plugged in. Wonder if taxpayers bought the electricity for them?

The original Prius was a Hybrid and not dependent on being externally charged. Driving a hybrid is like towing your own generator behind you.  But the newer Prius's are "Plug-ins" and are meant to be driven mostly as EV's. But I don't know if they can still be driven without ever being plugged in.

It's still not a good idea because the more people who are plugging in to the electric grid the more power plants we will need to build and the same Greenies who want all elctric vehicles are opposed to building any new power plants that aren't "Green" technology. They even oppose hydro power because it isn't "Natural" and we have to save the fishes.

The libs are counting on all the EV owners being considerate and only charging during off-peak hours. Like how they currently only use their A/C during off-peak hours.

Once most personal and service vehicles are electric and a bunch of Teslas etc get stranded in a blizzard miles from help, and the batteries run down and cars get cold inside… affected people will be grateful for snow covered solar cells and iced over frozen windmills. And proud that fossil fuel, hydroelectric, and nuclear electricity generating plants have all been shutdown.
