They never stop...............

"The Department of Justice on Monday unveiled a proposed rule that regulations for rifles apply to pistols that are equipped with certain stabilizing braces.

The rule states that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives should on a case-by-case basis determine whether a particular gun, when configured with a stabilizing brace, “bears the objective features of a firearm designed and intended to be fired from the shoulder and is thus subject to the NFA,” the National Firearms Act.

“The use of a purported ‘stabilizing brace’ cannot be a tool to circumvent the NFA (or the GCA) and the prohibition on the unregistered possession of ‘short-barreled rifles,'” the proposed rule says. GCA stands for the Gun Control Act of 1968. Stabilizing braces are used to bolster the stability and accuracy of guns.

The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register. Members of the public will have 90 days to submit comments."

:headscratch:   Is it the short barrel rifles that they are after?  Since they are obviously staying up nights thinking of this crap, you'd think at some point they'd get educated enough see this as a non issue.

Pistols with braces if I understand correctly.

In reality we can skip all these topics. They are redundant. The liberals / Dems couldn't take down the 2nd in one big step, so they undermine EVERYTHING, in a thousand smaller steps, locally and on state level, until the guns are gone from public hand and they are in full control of The People. That is the only true goal.

Braces, 10 round limit, no silencers, it doesn't matter.

Even if we send in comments, what so many have done in the past, we are still heading into the direction of losing our rights.

As I said so many times, 90% are followers. They follow what government puts out. More and more believe the bullshit that gun violence is a thing.

All this is not about right or wrong. Our system gives those a voice that have no clue, and those in charge abuse it for control over The People. Nothing will change this outcome in this system.

Lies, distortions, fabrications and propaganda are the only thing I see from liberals and the mainstream media.  And, that's what your 90% are tuning in to.

In this country, Handgun deaths are about half of deaths from auto accidents.  Sixty two percent of firearm deaths are suicides.  So, that puts auto accidents at over four times the rate of gun murders.  Meanwhile, guns are estimated to stop 2.5 million crimes here per year.

Meanwhile, 850,000 abortions per year are treated as an elective outpatient procedure and not a murder.

Yes, these people have an underhanded  agenda.

Not sure if any of the pistols have been used in a crime.  They are just pissed that they aren't registered like a SBR.

What bothers me the most is the concept of case by case basis.   That does not define a standard.

They are missing the point:   Acts of violence are not dependent on a tool.

If it was: Box cutters would have been made illegal in 2001.

All true, but you are stuck in the details. None of our nagging in this echo chamber will help.
