"Qualifying families will get monthly payments of up to $300 a month for each child under 6 and up to $250 a month for each child 6 to 18 years old.

The payments, which are part of the expanded child tax credit program in the American Rescue Plan, are expected to dramatically reduce child poverty, administration officials said."

This is how the Democrats plan on rolling out the universal basic income program under the guise of covid relief. You watch, once there is talk of ending the monthly payments, democrats will cry about how unfair and cruel it is to take people off the government teat. And then, with a straight face and a stern voice, they will say that this is not socialism.

Man, you can't afford to not have kids now!

That's why I went and picked up 15 or 20 (it's hard to keep track) unaccompanied minors at the border.  You can only use them once,  and they scatter all around,  so you have to keep getting new ones.

I'll buy each of my kids a gun with the money, should be a decent one every other month or so.

Heck, I'll make a couple kids and buy myself some more guns!

I just paid an extra 5 figure amount in taxes today for 2020.

If Biden gets reelected in 2024, the country has fallen, and I'm the **** out of this mess.

Many of our birth rates are in the sihtter. Maybe it'll help.

True, but unfortunately it will encourage the wrong group to have children most likely.

We already have enough people that are non productive.

To counter unreal birthrates from Muslims and Africans flooding our country, the Mormons and Amish need all the help they can get. I'll take my chances with some unproductive mofos.

Biden didn't get elected in 2020, country has already fallen, the coup was already successful. That is why we are even talking about welfare payment to everyone that has children.

I know, I'll just give the people one more chance to wake up before I remove myself from this mess.

I had a friend who was facing divorce. He made good money as a welder, owned his home, his trucks, his cars, had a vacation cabin, and money in the bank.

He talked his wife into trying to reconcile and make it work, hired a marriage therapist, basically bought himself about 6 months. During that time he liquidated everything he could. He and the wife sold the cabin. Sold all the wheels, including his work truck. He borrowed a friends rig welder while "shopped around for a new one."

Then his wife served him with divorce papers.

He had already moved a huge chunk of cash overseas, he left the following day. All she has is the house. Last I knew she was living there but couldn't sell it because the divorce couldn't be finalized, he won't come back and his attorney is dragging it out in court here. He posts on facebook with a young thing on his arm every chance he gets, knowing her friends tell his ex all about it.

Last I heard, ten years ago, it was all still in limbo, judge was mad, she was mad, his attorney was claiming to be mad, but the fact he was still showing up means he was paid somehow.

Guy was in S. America somewhere living like a king.

Only had grown kids from his first marriage, he sends them a Christmas card.

I guess I admire that he took a situation he couldn't win and stuck it to the system.

I had a watertight prenup that saved my ass when my ex asked for divorce (and remarried 5 month later, you get the idea). I won't get married ever again, I won't even move together with anybody.

One thing I learned from day trading quickly: only 1.4% of all day traders make a profit, the rest loses, often their entire account and then some. The logical conclusion is, that you have to be winner in this game, but reality is, that you have to be an even better loser.

Every time you get into a position that goes into the red, you have to be able to accept the fact that you failed, and get out very fast, with a small loss. Most day traders who get to the point of initially winning, can't accept defeat. They don't sell the losing positions and turn into bag holders or average down with their entire account, turning small losers into big ones. Their winning ego becomes so big that they rather sit on dying stocks for months or even years, than covering with a small loss in time and moving on to the next opportunity.

So yes, at times we have to realize - in time - when a fight is over, or can be won to begin with.
