The knife may be one of the greatest inventions of all time.

I don't go a day without using one.

Likewise. And I’m better served by having a low cost Kershaw via China via Walmart in my pocket with another one or two as backup than I would be with a knife so costly I would be afraid to use it lest I lose it.

I understand.  To me you put your pants on you put a Case in your pocket.

Usually wear that on the left side...and a Benchmade on the left.  One does normal things.  The other is more for dealing with life's issues.

And i have regretted the loss of every knife that someone found.

This is my steppin out gear.

How much did you spend on your carry gun?

A Hi Point will work, you can buy a couple for replacement.

a pocket knife is for opening boxes and cutting apples.

a fixed blade belt knife isn’t. Different tool, different use.

I’ve always got a case in my pocket, that’s not what a Kabar is for

Suspect I’ve seen about the same number open carrying sheath knives as handguns around here. Concealed carrying either/both? No clue.

Not a lot of concealed carry sheaths.
Lots of folders with pocket clips that are pretty good sized though. That’s more of a modern trend in knife design.

If you need all that kit just to go out of the house, you really should explore moving to a better neighborhood/town/state.

When James Bond novels and movies were becoming “the thing” Donald Hamilton was writing a series about Matt Helm - a stateside secret agent man. Mr Helm mastered flipping open a Case lockback pocket knife using a twist of the wrist. Inspired by Mr Helm I mastered the same technique and eventually wore the knife out. Modern thumb assist designs eliminated the need for such technique. And a representative Case knife...
