The rural area became urbanized with more traffic at higher speeds and about once a year we heard the sound of a crash where someone entered the creek instead of crossing the bridge. Eventually a new bridge was built and the road straightened. Possibly this event with a high profile casualty will inspire upgrades. Used to be a section of the Lincoln Highway in Illinois that was a long sweeping curve to a banked up RR. There was a two car wide cut through the RR embankment. The banked RR was lined with Sandstone Blocks on both sides and for the full length. Cars would go into the sweeping curve too fast and drift off the lane and slam into the Sandstone blocks at the edge of the cut. Nothing seemed to stop the multitude of accidents, so they reverse banked the sweeping curve roadway and it was frightening. The accidents dropped significantly. Dric902
Forensic experts suggest Tiger Woods may have fallen asleep at the wheel Tiger Woods appeared to not be paying attention in the moments before his devastating crash – and may have fallen asleep at the wheel of the luxury SUV he was driving, according to a report citing forensic car accident experts. The 45-year-old links legend was driving a 2021 Genesis GV80 alone when he veered across the median on Hawthorne Boulevard in Rancho Palos Verdes, went off the road and struck a tree — causing the car to roll over. .
