"A newly released poll reveals that incessant negative media coverage, two impeachments, and a near universal betrayal by elected Republicans has not tamped down on President Donald Trump’s popularity among his base. In fact, nearly two thirds of Republicans would leave the party to join a Trump-endorsed party.

A new survey, conducted during the last days of January 2021, indicate that a full 64 percent of Republicans would likely cast off the Republican Party to join a new political party that was centered on former-President Trumps agenda.

Of that 64 percent, a solid 32 percent said they would very likely join a new party, while 36 percent said they would be unlikely to leave the establishment Republican apparatus.

Surprisingly, 15 percent of registered Democrats and 28 percent of Independents polled said they would likely join a new political party centered on the agenda items embraced by the former-President."

It's not at all surprising to me, but I fear that a third party would do nothing but help the socialist commies stay in power.

While I agree, I fear that the GOP is done for now and they won't find a proper path any time soon. They never adjusted to the massive pull from the left and gave in too many times.

Maybe we need indeed a new, fresh party, that equally pulls to the right. Maybe they can unite with libertarians, and form a platform that also addresses peoples needs from the middle.

We should vote the bad Republicans out and different (new and improved) Republicans in.  Abandoning the party rather than revitalizing and fixing it just gives the Democrat voting block more power.

Besides, I kind of like the Elephant.

Voting the bad ones doesn't seem to work, To much power at the top including big money donors which can't be voted out.

It seems like a bunch of Republicans got voted in to replace Rhinos, and then they all behaved just like Rhinos when they got in.  At least with a used car, you get to take it for a test drive.

I think they are told if you want the plum committee assignments and  a nice office and goodies you do as told.

I don't think they were members of the party.  I think they registered one way and did something else.

Look at Romney.

That boy ain't right.

Y’all crack me up, thinking that voting still matters. Communists counting votes is what will keep communists in power.
