  1. THat's the one we have and its the bomb. So easy to use. Chops, steaks, etc.
  2. My wife bought us a soup vide immersion unit, and while we were good cooks before, this has totally upped our game. Ribeyes sous vide for like 3 hours at 120F then into the super hot fry pan with oil and butter for about 30 seconds per side. Heaven! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Very sorry to hear. My condolences Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Good luck with the exam!

  6. OMG, they damned near knocked me over coming home. They won't let me out of sight. Taking turns laying on my feet when I'm up or on my chest in bed. Nice to be missed. LOL Been doing my home rehab and setting up my appts for the meetings with the phys therapy peeps.
  7. Thanks to y’all for the laughs and cheers! I really appreciate them. Just checked out of rehab hotel to fly home and continue working at it there. Can’t wait to see my boys and throw the ball for them til my arm hurts! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. Ya know, maybe it’s the meds, but San Diego ain’t bad. Shame it’s part of Kalizuela but I could live here except for the taxes and gun laws... beautiful houses, views, great food, really nice people. Now, don’t faint, but we were merging and a BMW actually slowed down and waved us in!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. I keep asking the wife if the new personality implant is working yet. She says she’s very disappointed. I’m rehabbing like crazy but frustrated at how weak I am and how tired I get. They told me food might taste “strange” for a while and they weren’t kidding. I was eating shish-kabob and all I could taste was pancakes with syrup.[emoji2957] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. I’m telling everyone the scar is from a fencing duel I fought... Most of my friends wouldn’t get the joke if I said it was over 9mm vs .45 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Well, that was...special... Surgery ran 7.5 hours which was a little long. Took me three days to shed the anesthesia due to my excess adipose tissue, my polite way of saying blubber, lol. Damn, I would fall asleep n the middle of a sentence. I still have basically no appetite which is a good start for the diet I need to be on. Good news: no real nausea after the first day, some dizziness if I move my head too fast, and the pain is mostly controllable with Tylenol. No trouble swallowing water or solid food. Just occasional headaches. Walking is good on level ground and...challenging on uneven. I’m not gonna pass a drunk test. Right now there’s no way I would try to drive; I would take out myself or someone else. The slightest quick movement of my head sets everything spinning worse than any hangover. 14. Just a quick note: When your wife asks: “What happens if there’s an earthquake while they’re operating inside your head?” The correct answer is NOT, “Scrambled eggs.” ROTFL The night on the sofa was worth it... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. So, I'm in San Diego now. I have four meetings tomorrow with the various members of the surgical team, as well as the Rehab group. My anxiety is up a little... They moved my surgery up a little: I know have to report to ICU by 0500 Tuesday morning, with surgery to commence at 0700 PDT. Should be done around Noon or so with the surgery. Thanks all for the laughs and see you in a few days, D.V.
