  1. I always have to recall these stories whenever I hear a member of this board, or the one that shall not be named, who happens to be an active peace officer, protest that should the government ever try to seize the weaponry of it's citizens they and their police buddies would never follow that request. They are, in the end, subjects of their government master and will absolutely do it's bidding. Concerns for their own welfare, and that of their family, should they run afoul of the government, will prompt action.
  2. The funniest part about this is, the 3 million death stat is probably true but it's "positioning" is the problem. Over 57 million people die worldwide every year, so yes, the global death toll could easily be approaching 3 million. But put that factual number in big letters on a screen with nothing but covid stuff, and people will make an assumption. If called out they can honestly say that the number true, just "mistakenly" placed or some such.
  3. The problem is, you can find anything if you look hard enough. Yes, it sounds like they both have gone through some serious crap, but you never see/hear an interview from someone who barely had any issues do you? It doesn't fit the narrative.

  5. THE BEAT by Allen Parr Blue Collar Logic Liberty Doll Daisy Cousens Sydney Watson The first one is a channel of scriptural teaching and application for living. The others are social commentary from a conservative angle.
  6. Do we? How does she know those were the two? From an artists sketch? What if she was wrong? Do the men get to torture he granddaughter to death as compensation for their loss? It never fails to astound me how unintelligent people become in their quest for vengeance. Because that's what it is, not a quest for justice.

  8. I though I posted this yesterday, but if I did it disappeared. No message telling me it violated any rules either, so I'm going to try again.
  9. Which words? All of them, The trend is for quantity over quality, and it's tiring.
  10. Not to bag on those guys, but I'd call THIS some flying... Captain Ed W. Freeman, United States Army, distinguished himself by numerous acts of conspicuous gallantry and extraordinary intrepidity on 14 November 1965 while serving with Company A, 229th Assault Helicopter Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile). As a flight leader and second in command of a 16-helicopter lift unit, he supported a heavily engaged American infantry battalion at Landing Zone X-Ray in the Ia Drang Valley, Republic of Vietnam. The unit was almost out of ammunition after taking some of the heaviest casualties of the war, fighting off a relentless attack from a highly motivated, heavily armed enemy force. When the infantry commander closed the helicopter landing zone due to intense direct enemy fire, Captain Freeman risked his own life by flying his unarmed helicopter through a gauntlet of enemy fire time after time, delivering critically needed ammunition, water and medical supplies to the besieged battalion. His flights had a direct impact on the battle's outcome by providing the engaged units with timely supplies of ammunition critical to their survival, without which they would almost surely have gone down, with much greater loss of life. After medical evacuation helicopters refused to fly into the area due to intense enemy fire, Captain Freeman flew 14 separate rescue missions, providing life-saving evacuation of an estimated 30 seriously wounded soldiers -- some of whom would not have survived had he not acted. All flights were made into a small emergency landing zone within 100 to 200 meters of the defensive perimeter where heavily committed units were perilously holding off the attacking elements. Captain Freeman's selfless acts of great valor, extraordinary perseverance and intrepidity were far above and beyond the call of duty or mission and set a superb example of leadership and courage for all of his peers. Captain Freeman's extraordinary heroism and devotion to duty are in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit and the United States Army.
  11. They'd have to take a picture from the inside to see that.
  12. About the only reason I would like to return to the East coast would be to see Arlington National Cemetary and the Tomb of the Unknown, and watch the changing of the guard. What a solemn occasion and I have the utmost respect for those service members.
  13. She's female, and a cop, no way she'll be convicted.
  14. Turn the genders around and watch the indignation fly! $100 bond, try several thousand. More oppressed females...
