How are we the most obese nation when Europe is doing stuff like this? Man, that looks good, cholesterol be damned.

Even as they are storming the capital building, Pence says he won't challenge the Electoral votes. The POS... I always knew he was a *****. The country has gone completely socialist. 2 years from now they will already have killed the filibuster completely, and will probably change the number of members on the supreme court. The damage they will do in 2 years, the republic will never recover. Now they have learned that cheating will never be challenged, they will never be stopped. If it wasn't done this time...it never will be again. They will be enacting deadly legislation on gun control too. God damn the supreme court and the turn coat Rinos in the republican party...God Damn them to hell...

If this illegitimate election, due to wide spread cheating, is allowed to stand, then, as we see in Georgia, voting no longer is a means to redress grievances at the ballot box. Unless this is addressed, the voter fraud and other cheating practices, no voting will extract this invasive tumor.

A few observations: They will still need 2/3rds of the House to pass any bill to the senate. They do not have a 2/3rds majority. They have an eight vote majority. They will have to force it with a simple majority vote. Depending on what they do that will be a major problem for them in two years. Nancy can't last another two years. They have lit a fire under us. We are motivated. You can bet the house returns to the Republicans in 2 years. We need to learn to play THEIR game and get out there and win.

The left is in total control. People have been brainwashed and demoralized for many years. One part is stupid enough to believe the lies of the Dems and actually voted for the incoming power grab that will result in the loss of freedom as well as rights, and the other part is too comfortable to do anything about this illegal overtake through big tech, social media and mainstream media that suppresses, censors, manipulates, twists and bans conservative voices for at least 5 years now. Too many people can't see the obvious manipulation because they don't care enough to look reality in the face. it scares them. Most people are weak ass followers and not leaders to begin with. Offer people some freebees and fake ass safety, and they will throw away any liberty and rights. Good job!

I've tried working in corporate (and similar) environments. It isn't a good fit. It becomes clear fairly quickly to everyone that I am not quite housebroken. My mouth has always gotten me in trouble. I had a Drill Sgt in Basic tell me (While I was in the front-leaning rest position), that with a mouth like mine, by the time I finished Basic I was going to have a body like a Greek God. I don't think I accomplished that, but I was in pretty freaking great shape when I left FT Benning.

Here is another cool one. They make Fettuccini Alfredo using noodles they make fresh and then place the fettuccini on/in a wheel of parmesan cheese. They mix it around, picking up cheese. The fettuccini sets in the cheese wheel bowl till it sells. One video said it takes two or three weeks to wear through a wheel of cheese.

I was there December 29, 2020 Ride of a lifetime by Rick Mantei I have been flying for over 50 years, primarily as a USAF fighter pilot instructor in the F-4 and F-16. Once I retired, I loved to fly so much I decided to get some airplanes that were affordable, relatively high performance and safe. I settled on the Jet Provost, a trainer primary flown by the RAF. A fun airplane for giving rides. I have given hundreds of rides since I bought it in 1997. I have given rides for fundraising travel agency vendors who support the airshows, such as Make-A-Wish, attaboys for military shows as well as rides for vendors who support the airshows. In October 2005, I was giving incentive rides in my MK 4 Jet Provost from Friday through Sunday in support of the Celebrate Freedom airshow at Camden Air Field, South Carolina. Later on that Sunday afternoon, as the airshow was winding down, I had spent all Friday, Saturday, and Sunday giving rides to support the event. I was seriously exhausted, as the plane is 1960 vintage and has no modern creature comforts like air conditioning, hydraulic boost, or cabin pressurization. I was approached by a middle aged gent asking me to give a ride to his dad. I apologized and explained that unfortunately, I had to fly 100 miles away to take the jet for its annual inspection and then drive 2+ hours back to my home. Suddenly, the retired general in charge of the airshow (the air boss) begged me to fly this guy. As I was sitting in the jet ready to crank it up and go, a jeep showed up and about five beefy guys showed up to lift the old frail guy up to the cockpit. The man was old and hunched over and sickly looking—what could I do but fly the old, frail guy? In the Jet Provost you sit side by side, so I could easily see him. We flew to a nearby lake and I asked him if he wanted to fly, fully expecting him to say no. He nodded his head yes, which shocked me, and I let him have the stick and he took control. He sat straight up and fully alert, like a warrior of old, and flew the plane like Steven Canyon. It was as if 60 years were taken away from his age instantly—he did loops, aileron rolls, and lazy eights. When you’ve flown with Pappy Boyington, you’ve seen it all. I was stunned. After about 10 minutes in the air he looked over at me, gave the stick back, smiled and went back to hunching over and being 85 years old. He never said a word to me. For a few minutes his face said everything. For a few minutes he was alive and excited! I was not aware who the guy was. When we landed, the local TV stations were filming the show for the nightly news. I felt like Charles Lindbergh with all the attention. He then signed a book for me. See, this guy did gift me a ride of my lifetime, as he was the WWII ace Robert W. McClurg, Pappy Boyington’s wingman and a member of the Black Sheep Squadron, who shot down seven Japanese airplanes in WWII. What a guy! He died 2 years later. I will never forget this fighter pilot from the Marine Corps. A true ace. He was truly from the “Greatest Generation” that ever lived!

I'm as unhappy as anybody about the election results, but IIRC, Obama had both houses for a while and they were not able to squash us. They won't be able to this time either. Success and well-being are still 95%+ a function of the performance of the individual, family, or company. There are few examples of when this isn't true.

It doesn't matter how you vote anymore. That horse has left the barn. This GA election is proof. "Oh look it is neck and neck." Next day democrat wins. How many times do they think they can pull that? What am I 4 years old?

Ayep. I made a mistake in typing that. I stand corrected. Simple majority is all it takes. Thank you. Coffee must not have been working.
  22. 3 points
Unfortunately this is not true. There are a few specific types of things the House does that requires a super majority, like amendments or overriding a veto, but most legislation passes with a simple majority in the House. Senate rules allow for legislation to be filibustered, which can't be ended with a simple majority vote, but the rule can be changed with a simple majority vote and I'll bet that will happen the first time the Republicans try to filibuster.

I like to relieve the boredom of shopping with a few comments that entertain those shoppers around my wife and me. People like to eavesdrop on others, and many times they enjoy thinking they heard something they shouldn't have. My next trip to the grocery store will include a comment to my wife when I'm sure other shoppers are within earshot. Yes, I really do plan things like this. I will lean over to my wife and give her a little kiss, followed by: "You are so much better than your sister!". The last trip we had the checkout clerk laughing out loud, and then thanking us for the fun. She said it was a long day and she was feeling sad before we came to her line. My wife is so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I understand your points. Sadly. But i am not going to give up. I think what Trump started will grow. It's not going away. Millions have been inspired to get in there and "get some." While times are changing. I think there's still a spark.

Those voting for socialism are the first to crumble when that card house falters due to the lack of tax revenue to keep it going, and the regime killing any resistance in order to keep the power they just gained.
  29. 3 points
Again, a lack of Republican turn out assured the countries destruction. Hope those that sat home are happy and don't complain when socialism comes a knocking at their door.

I'm having a bit of trouble with some of the services on the new server, but it is almost sorted. I am going to try to move the site in the next two days. If I can't, it is going to cost me another month for the old server. As for moving the place late at night, that is to avoid interupting site access to the least number of people possible. It isn't done for security, so much as to make the transition go more smoothly for everyone involved. Security is an important concern and it is one that I don't discuss much online, for obvious reasons. This type of work will definitely give you worry lines.

They are way more active. Hiking, using a bicycle to get to work, daily walks after dinner, walking to the store instead of driving. They also eat less processed food / fast food. Healthy fats vs saturated fats. That being said, they are catching up...

My wife has done many things for me that are a testament to her love for me. I love to sing (when I believe no one can hear me) and one song reminds me of what is most dear to me. I know many will think I'm being melodramatic, or just an old fool. However, I really feel this way, and the song says what I can't. I tell my wife how much I love her many times a day. Since I'm past my statistical lifetime, I have no idea if I might not see the sunset, so I keep telling her hoping she remembers what I said so recently. I really am an old fool about her, but that a cross I am willing to bear. Sometimes late at night I lie awake and watch her sleeping She's lost in peaceful dreams, so I turn out the lights And lay there in the dark And the thought crosses my mind If I never wake up in the morning Would she ever doubt the way I feel about her in my heart If tomorrow never comes Will she know how much I loved her? Did I try in every way to show her every day That she's my only one? And if my time on earth were through And she must face the world without me Is the love I gave her in the past gonna be enough to last? If tomorrow never comes 'Cause I've lost loved ones in my life Who never knew how much I loved them Now I live with the regret that my true feelings for them Never were revealed So I made a promise to myself To say each day how much she means to me And avoid that circumstance where there's no second chance To tell her how I feel If tomorrow never comes Will she know how much I loved her? Did I try in every way to show her every day That she's my only one? And if my time on earth were through And she must face the world without me Is the love I gave her in the past gonna be enough to last? If tomorrow never comes So tell that someone that you love Just what you're thinking of If tomorrow never comes

I want to take the wife to dinner more than I want a "stimulus check". I love to see her pampered and have people wait on her. But with the ******** we have for a governor, that not possible. I hope everyone that's out of work in the food business remembers what the governor's name is come the next election. However, the dolts that voted for him have given him so much control over them they don't know they have given him the control over their liberty as a penalty for safety. God I hate him!

I personally can't stand the sight and sound of people eating and that include myself too. If I'm around people who are eating I'm always looking down and avoiding eye contact with them while they're eating. And then there's the opposite of me and people will stare at me or others when eating and that equally annoys me. So yeah, I'm all for it not being acceptable to eat on cam. I can understand snacking here or there if you're putting on a 24+ hour live stream, but if you're only on for a couple hour, freaking eat before coming on cam! You don't see successful commentators such as Howard Stern of Joe Rogan chomping away on cam do you?

Must have been hard to give it up. Twenty years is almost unheard of in running forums. I left GT because i felt it was time. Time to move on. I found TBS by accident. And you guys seem like a fair bunch of people. The conversation is far less heated here and the place is pretty low key. I was on AR15.com for exactly two posts before I was pissed and left. That place wasn't for me.
