Administrators Eric Posted September 17, 2017 Administrators Share Posted September 17, 2017 Someone posted something earlier that got me thinking of these beasties: These were a hell of a lot of fun to ride, but they seriously injured or killed a good number of riders. This 1982 model was one the last years they were available.
Administrators Eric Posted September 17, 2017 Author Administrators Share Posted September 17, 2017 How about a production 'truck' with factory-installed seats in the bed? I'm guessing we will never see anything like this again. They were cool little vehicles though. 3

Administrators Eric Posted September 17, 2017 Author Administrators Share Posted September 17, 2017 Who remembers these things? I hated thee freaking things. They almost never worked properly and if you had the slightest amount of moisture on your hands, they would stick. I must have lost a yard or two of skin on those damned things, over the years. 6 1

I always wanted a Big Red, though.

Grabbrass
Not saying it's exactly gone, but I see that thick cake of fossilized motor oil in the oilpan area of EVERY parking space a lot less nowadays. Â

Did any of your VCRs every display anything on the front, while idle, except a blinking "12:00"? The few times I went to the trouble of setting the clock, the power would soon go out just long enough to reset the clock.

Administrators Eric Posted September 17, 2017 Author Administrators Share Posted September 17, 2017 I haven't seen this stuff in years. I guess it is probably still being made, but I haven't seen it. 1
Administrators Eric Posted September 17, 2017 Author Administrators Share Posted September 17, 2017 We knew a guy when I was a kid, that had one of these mounted on the dash oh his Chevy Luv pickup. I remember thinking once back then, if that truck was even capable of speeding. Anyway that is one low-tech looking device. I've noticed that in the last few years, you hardly ever see a cord hanging down from a RADAR/Laser detector. It doesn't seem like it is nearly as popular a product as it once was.

Administrators Eric Posted September 17, 2017 Author Administrators Share Posted September 17, 2017 Remember when everyone was wearing these padded jacket vests, back in the late seventies and eighties? Having Michael J Fox wearing one in the Back to the Future movies made them even more popular. I used to have a blue one, in 9th grade.
