Liquid dish detergent

I've just found out that a mix of tap water and liquid dish detergent kills ants on contact.

I already knew that it kills wasps and hornets as well as the commercial pesticides sold in stores.

Next up... squirrels. But I want a more game-like experience. Spray them smack in their faces from two feet out. A sort of "remember-my-face" moment.

They can be as destructive as a racoon. I'll be just as satisfied if it pisses them off to no end.

Mole beans. Mole sauce.

That is one of those things that turn out very, very good, or very bad.  I have had both ends of the spectrum.  The bad made me want to leave it alone.  You wouldn't think green chili and chocolate go well together.  If the person doesn't know the right balance.  They don't.

It certainly is. Just be careful if you have nut allergies.  Most moles have peanuts as an ingredient.

Found that one out the hard way

I'm referring to moles that live in our yard. Am I missing something?

I don't have a nut allergy but what would that have to do with your suggestion? I'm not keeping up, apparently. ?

Yes, you are missing out.  He was using a Spanish "pun" for mole (pronounced mo-lay), that is a chocolate chili sauce put most commonly on chicken.  When my wife would visit me in my duty station in Laredo, before we got married, I would go over to the parent's of a former SEAL I knew who was dating a Columbian woman.  His mom made the best mole.  She tried to teach my now wife how to make it.  But, she botched it so bad, it made me hate the stuff.

Even at my age I can still learn.....life is good. Thanks!

Sister-in-law obtains dog fur clippings from her vet and places them around the plants in her flower pots. So far the squirrels have been investigating then leaving. No long term reports yet.

Oh, yeah. You can look it up. Mole beans are castor beans, where ricin comes from.

Um, no.  You don't want to make ricin.  It is as likely to kill you as your target, as you, without the proper equipment.

You don't have to refine the castor beans into ricin for them to work on moles. Think depleted uranium cannon shells vs fission bombs.

Whadda... for moles?

First I thought about coolant/anti-freeze. Sure enough it is toxic to all small mammals. WARNING. Dogs, cats, moles, etc. WARNING. It is non-selective.  http://www.michigangardenclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=381

However, mix of castor oil and dish soap--- https://www.hunker.com/12226145/how-to-get-rid-of-ground-moles-with-dawn-soap

Anti-freeze kills everything living in enough quantities.  Sweet, tasteless, always shows up on a tox screen though.  Arsenic, the same problem.  Succinlycholine (sp), not so much.
