Moshe
I was considering a 10 inch .45 ACP PCC, and a 16 inch in the same. 16 inch inch no tax stamp. 10 inch pistol no tax stamp until I apply to make it an SBR. I am curious if there is a substantial difference between 10 inch .45 ACP PCC and a 16 inch as far as there is a point of diminishing return. Cougar_ml
http://www.ballisticsbytheinch.com/45auto2.html Looks like with some ammunition you might pick up as much as 10% increased velocity going from 10 to 16", but the heavier you go the less it increases. Looking at the chart on the above link, with some brands of ammo you don't pick up very much going anything over a 4 or 5" barrel.
Moshe
Thanks, I tend to go 230 grain for my .45 ACP's. 180gain for my 10mm and .40, and 147 grain for my 9mm. Edited May 11, 2019 by Moshe
