Nationalism and Folk Identity

Recommended Posts

Couldn't decide where to put this so here it.

"Ethnic-Europeans will not survive without a keen sense of ethnic identity; but with this sense, as history shows, new possibilities might open to them.

Recognition of the need for nationalism is growing throughout the West on both sides of the Atlantic. The election of Donald Trump demonstrated that ethnic-Europeans in the United States very much reject the liberal direction our country has taken. Some level of nationalistic revival has occurred here in the States, demonstrated by Trump’s ‘Make America Great Again’ slogan. However, the second half of the 20th century saw Western nations overrun with cultural Marxist ideology that have eroded the cultural continuity that America once had."

True.  AOC was pushing the whole reparations drum beat schtick again.

If she's for it, it must be a stupid idea.

“Reparations, I believe, are talked about for political reasons, trying to cater for the purpose of getting votes. If Congress was serious about reparations - in '93 and '94 the Democrats controlled the House, the Senate and the White House, and not one single Republican vote was needed for reparations.” J. C. Taking money from relatives who fought on the Union side?  Seems like THEY should get reparations.  The scorched earth policy toward civilians by Sherman in the South, I guess they are owed too?  How about the Japanese interment victims? How about consistent violent Anti-Semitic action that has existed in the United States?  Screwing up names, because who cares about them on census reports.  That is always fun, seeing your relatives names butchered, when you know their first name was changed for convenience.  We could go on and on, about Irish and Italian Immigrants who came in and were shoved out of legitimate work.  So, the whole thing seems superfluous and just stupid.  Should I go after the family over a hundred years later, for murdering a Jewish relative of mine, so he could steal away one of the daughters?  Probably not, as the actor is long gone.  Should I sue Germany for the Shoa?  If we all did, the German economy would collapse, and, well, we see what churns over there when it does.  So, the world turns, people suck, stop trying to throw money around to solve things.  Because, ultimately, it doesn't.

If we consider everything made available to Black Americans (the only group who has ANY claim for reparations) since 1968, each and every Black American would be immensely wealthy if they had used the funds and give me goodies wisely.  Its high time for the give me crap to stop.  Black Americans are as fully capable of standing on their own feet as anyone else.  It's high time the CommieDemDuh Party shut down the Plantation started by LBJ, and turned Black America free.

It's all right to be proud of your nation and it's accomplishments.  This national cohesivity is what makes nations great.  People with differences, that still agree on their ability to take on social and national problems and solve them with concerted effort.  No one should be ashamed of belonging to a group of citizens that make life better for every one of them.

No one should tell these people that they must change to be something else.    The only people that hate and denigrate their own society have wants and desires that are not in the national best interests and therefore  represent what the nation stands against.  These people would be happier somewhere else.

Actually, I doubt they would be any happier anywhere else, because the vast majority have absolutely no clue how the world actually works.  Force them to spend a few years in a socialist country on their own with nothing when they get there with no outside assistance, and I'm sure many would be singing another tune in very short order.
