pipedreams
Wonder if the trailer was empty? Surprised the tractor went over with it rather than breaking off. You can bet the driver had to change his shorts afterwards.

jmohme
One of my old KW customers had a driver killed when his rig was blown off the road in the mountains on a California run. He was partially loaded at the time. A 53 ft trailer has a lot of surface area and makes a good sail.
gwalchmai
I was thinking the hooker from Breaking Bad had moved east.
tadbart
Sure hope he was wearing his seatbelt. That was a wild ride. Unbelted, he would have landed pretty roughly on his head. Wind ain't no joke. I imagine he was wrestling that rig for a while before this happened. Mighta been prudent to pull over and point that thing into the wind for a while. railfancwb
Seems I read of a stack train which was partially blown off a high bridge about this time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Scwine
I remember flying into Amarillo once on a trip to see family in Turkey, Texas, during Thanksgiving. The wind was blowing so bad I needed help pushing the airport door open to get out to our rental car. Once we got the car and got on the road, a hailstorm blew out the back window. The weather can get pretty crazy in those parts.
