That shotgun sounds like an interesting piece of history. For years I thought it was made by Manton who was a famous gun maker in the 1830's who made flintlock and percussion shotguns a dueling pistols, But my gun was a cartridge gun made in the late 1800's or early 1900's. It turns out it's a "Trade Brand Name" shotgun that was made in Belgium and they could get away with putting what ever name they wanted on it. But I like the looks of the gun and it has a beautiful Side lever for opening the breech which is something the original Mantons never had. The gun is somewhat beat up but I really like those exposed hammers and the side lever.
