NYC loses Amazon HQ2

Liberals will never learn that overregulation and dictating how businesses will conduct their affairs will most certainly kill incentive.  Politicians are not known for their business skills, nor their ability to solve problems.  They only take money and give it to organizations and individuals that will line their pockets and provide them votes.  They are the virus to a business climate.

AOC is cheering this decision

She'll just tell her brain dead voters that she'll make sure the government gives them jobs. That is, unless they're "unwilling to work", in which case she'll make sure the government gives them money. She'll be reelected in a landslide.

Why would any business want to locate in NYC with all the oppressive regulations?  Yes there is source for labor but with all the demands and high cost of living I would go somewhere else.

NYS and NYC promised Amazon $3Billion in tax incentives to build their HQ2.

Cuomo is not happy with the “New Dems”

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo lambasted politicians such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and others over Amazon's decision to leave New York City. Opponents of the deal with the tech giant had "put their own narrow political interests above their community," he said.

"[A] small group [of] politicians put their own narrow political interests above their community -- which poll after poll showed overwhelmingly supported bringing Amazon to Long Island City -- the state's economic future and the best interests of the people of this state," Cuomo said in the statement, which did not mention Ocasio-Cortez or other lawmakers by name.

I think he might have been looking in the mirror when he made the statement.

Now (per Rush) (and he supplied the audio-clips to prove it),  Cortez is reveling in her success and vowed to spend the $3 billion they saved on schools and transportation,  not realizing that there IS NO $3B (!).

It was a tax deduction that was granted on an expected $30B in taxes that would be collected from amazon over the first ten years.
