Do you have access to the desktop of the laptop? If so, do you have access to any website via any browser?

Do you have a home network and are you wireless? Are you getting a good connection to your router?

From a basic laptop level, if you find several things not working as expected, try removing any power source and remove the internal battery for about a minute. Reverse process and try again.

We had a bunch of people reporting this issue about a year ago. There were actually a couple of issues, being caused by a couple of sources:

  1. Their browser's security settings were forcing the site's pages to try to load to a secure URL, even though we don't use SSL pages to browse the site. Even when people changed the settings, they still had to clear their caches and restart the browser and maybe the computer.
  2. The second issue was being caused by the Duck Duck Go security plugin I mentioned above. They updated that plugin and it began to cause all manner of problems with the site. I am not familiar with the plugin. If it has a whitelist, TBS's domain name needs to be added to it. Otherwise it needs to be turned off.

Both of these issues are out of my hands. They both appear to be exclusively Windows issues as well. I have been on Macs for more than ten years and I don't have much recent experience with Windows platforms. Perhaps someone more familiar with Win7/8/10 platforms can lend some additional insight into this, if they have dealt with this issue previously.

Something you could try without too much trouble would be to try to open TBS on your laptop using a different browser application. Hope this helps.
