Hauptmann6
Looking at a new purchase in the next yearish. It looks pretty interesting. What do you think of it if you have one?

Moshe
I have seen some for sale at pretty hefty prices. It all depends on what you are willing to pay. But, if you can afford it, and it makes you happy, go for it.
Hauptmann6
I've seen them online for around ~1500. A bit more than I like but I was hoping for some in person reviews. I most likely would have to order one.

Hauptmann6
What do you think of the carbine? Worth it? Any troubles?

It’s built like a brick house with probably the best service trigger I’ve encountered on a military issued gun and not a boutique AR. Just keep in mind that the bolt is designed to not be field strippable. You can separate it from the bolt carrier but it will take a bit of work with a punch. Eats Tula like candy. I don’t know how compatible the mag well is to all types of M16 mags, but it’s shipped with two DH USGI mags, and that’s all I use in it - GI mags. The price wont be any cheaper than it currently is, I don’t think. The BREN 2 carbine is probably going to be available in either 2019 or 2020. It’s supposedly about a pound lighter due to more extensive use of plastic for lower receiver. Whether or not it’s better than the BREN, that’s another story. Fnfalman
That’s just a 10-rds shot group at the end of the day with the German MEN brand M193 ball ammo. The plastic mag is Lancer. It’s STANAG so it works in the BREN.

Hauptmann6
And they are discontinued for 2019, Along with a ton of rifles I would actually buy from CZ.

Plenty of new old stock. CZ is probably phasing it out to get ready for the BREN 2.
