Administrators Eric Posted December 9, 2018 Administrators Share Posted December 9, 2018 I just watched The Ballad of Buster Scruggs on Netflix. I didn’t expect much, but I was bored. The movie was one hell of a surprise. Check it out.

Al Czervik
So, I made a nice dinner, and convinced Mrs. C that this was a good idea based upon reviews from my online gun dudes. Mrs. C says you are all gay.
Administrators Eric Posted December 10, 2018 Author Administrators Share Posted December 10, 2018 I guess some folks get the Coen Brothers’ style of movies and some don’t. Different strokes. I am a big fan of their movies and I loved this one.

I didn't make it much longer. I had high hopes from the trailer, but it just went over like a turd in a punchbowl for us.

The first time I saw the movie, I left the theater feeling like someone had smacked with a goofy stick. I Love the soundtrack as well. I still listen to it, once in a while.

Al Czervik
I loved Oh, Brother. I circled back after the family mutiny, to try to make some sense of this one, but nope. The dog tried to light me on fire.
PNWguy
Exceptionally well done and artfully crafted. But each story was a tragedy, I want to cut myself now.

But the bad guy in that movie was one of the greatest movie bad guys ever. The Big Lebowski was another great movie of theirs. Loved the salon scene in the Buster Scruggs sequence but it's like they tried to do too many stories in one movie and they didn't all really connect. I noticed looking a the cast credits on IMDB that Tom Waits played a small part in the movie and so did Liam Nesson.
