pipedreams
"In his opinion, New York Rifle & Pistol Association v. City of New York is just such a case. Last week, the plaintiffs filed a brief in support of their petition for writ of certiorari. The complaint involves the City of New York’s law that prevents gun owners from transporting licensed, locked and unloaded firearms outside the city under any circumstances. They can only use their guns within the five boroughs." https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2018/12/daniel-zimmerman/new-york-state-rifle-pistol-assn-v-city-of-new-york-could-be-exactly-the-supreme-court-case-gun-owners-have-been-waiting-for/
steve4102
Quote Last month, the Supreme Court declined to review a Ninth Circuit ruling that upheld Sacramento’s “may issue” concealed carry permitting process. The Ninth Circus had ruled that, that despite Heller and McDonald, there’s no right to carry concealed handguns in public in California. With Justice Kavanaugh now on the Court, gun owners had hoped for a different outcome. The Truth About Guns, rarely gets matters such as this correct. The SC did not "reject" anything such thing. The State urged to SC not to review the case because the New Sheriff has already changed the Permit Policy. The SC does not hear Moot Cases. steve4102
As for New York Rifle & Pistol Association v. City of New York, I am very skeptical of Justice Roberts as of late. First Obama care, then verbally attacking the President. I believe Roberts has been compromised and cannot be trusted, he is the New swing voter Kennedy. I wish these suits would hold off until after Ruth has been replaced.
