Old Pictures

I am lamenting that I still have not located my Army photo of my Grandfather from WWIII that used to sit on my old mantle.  I loved him like a father.  When my father was away at OTS, he took me under his wing and fathered me.  He taught me a golden rule.  Fight for the underdog, whomever that person is.  He fought for me, when things got rough with cousins, my crazy Aunt and my Grandmother.  When he got Alzheimer's I fought for him.  He had no more mind than a child, and I would stroke his hair like you would a child when he was afraid and needed to sleep.  My father and I did out best to bathe him and care for him.  When it became too much for my father, he went a VA home, where, sadly he passed.  I get emotional when I think of him.  More so, that the picture I had of him for years is MIA.  I remember his funeral, like it was yesterday.  Hopefully, my wife packed it like she said, or I am going to track down some movers and hell has no fury.
