One of my favorite things is a 1884 Morgan silver dollar that I got in bush Alaska.  (I traded a guy a pack of cigarettes for it.  Given the condition-value of the coin and the price of smokes up there,  he got the better trade.)

I often wonder how many shovels, picks, Levis, hookers, bad poker hands, or bottles of whiskey it has purchased.
