Shotgun maker

My father has a side by side 20ga he bought in the 1960s made by G. Zabala.
Has always functioned perfectly until a few years ago one of the firing pins either broke or lost a spring. Now that side won't fire.
Is it worth fixing? I have read they are a lower end shotgun but my father loves it.

Any info greatly appreciated.

worth paying someone else to fix if you plan on getting rid of it?  Probably not.

Worth fixing for sentimental value?  probably.  I don't know that much about them but it doesn't seem like it would be all that complicated to repair.  If both sides use the same firing pin and mechanism, you have a good one to use for reference and a decent machinist should be able to make a new part in relatively short order, provided the shotgun isn't impossible to take apart without destroying.
