railfancwb
Learned that the EOT devise is hung near the coupler, not on it. Saw pusher power at the rear of a train moving it up a mountain and the EOT device was still on the last car, not moved to the rear of the pusher.
railfancwb
For many years railroad cars in the States were connected using Link and Pin couplers. After knuckle couplers were perfected and mandated for interstate railroads and their equipment there was of necessity a transition period. Knuckles of locomotive couplers, especially, were often notched and fitted with pins so older, not updated, equipment could be moved. Some isolated railroads totally within a single state and not physically connected to other railroads may never have upgraded couplers.

willie-pete
Anybody ever see this " white train " moving anywhere? Used to haul nukes and nuke components around the country until the late 80's. Armed guards and snipers with firing ports in the rail cars. 2

Then they painted the cars different colors to make it seem more "normal". How many trains have you seen that have never been tagged. 2 1
