How did I miss this?  Didn't he call all the media to show up ahead of time for the photo op?  Did he stay the whole day?  I think I saw Obama dish out some mashed potatoes once.

He and his family have been doing it for years.  Seriously.

I was curious and it's not easy to figure out how many meals are provided year by Catholic Charities....but I found these numbers on the New York page.

  • 5M nutritious meals served in parish and community food programs
  • 11,927 families prevented from becoming homeless
  • 6,292 families living in affordable housing
  • 12,194 individuals provided with emergency overnight shelter

Far too many New York City residents - 1.4 million people, to be precise -- depend on food pantries and soup kitchens in New York to survive. That’s one out of every five New Yorkers, older women,  working families, veterans and, worst of all, children.

Or "wastes food by handing out oversized portions".

Or "looks distraught at all the food being wasted".

I wonder how the mass media will spin it.

How many of his accusers were doing charity work.  How many liberals put their efforts where their mouths are.

I'm sure his detractors cannot understand real charity or commitment to others, and they will claim it's for publicity.  The judge him as they know they would act, not as a good person.

Sounds calloused but how many are illegals?
