The study by Imperial College of London published March 16estimated that 2.2 million Americans and 500,000 Britons could die.

Now, lead author Neil Ferguson has testified to a parliamentary committee that the U.K. death toll is unlikely to exceed 20,000 and could be much lower, reported the website New Scientist.

And more than half that number would have died anyway by the end of the year, because of their age and underlying illnesses, he told the panel on Wednesday

Yeah, and as much as I'd like to say "I told you so", gummints have to make decisions without the benefit of hindsight. So I can't be super-critical of the decision. (I CAN be super-critical of the media for their role in the fear-mongering.)

I also think we should use this new info to support the President's plan to get America back to work as soon as we can.

On Thursday, while answering questions with President Trump and the rest of the White House coronavirus task force, Dr. Deborah Birx admitted that the initial coronavirus death estimates were too extreme.

This is exactly what The Gateway Pundit has been reported for 11 days now.

Dr. Birx: “The predictions of the models don’t match the reality on the ground in either China, South Korea, or Italy. We’re about 5 times the size of Italy. If we were Italy, and you did those divisions, Italy should have close to 400,000 deaths. They’re not close to achieving that.”

The initial problem is that with the erroneous data (due to there being too small of sample size to analyze properly) this extreme estimate was then given to Politicians.  Now we all have realized by now, Politicians have no special skills and even exhibit a lack of understanding the basic characteristics of their citizens.

So these idiot neighbors of ours that were voted into positions of authority with no skills, they over react and induce a panic situation which they cannot actually control.

They then compound this travesty by feeding off each other  and the hysteric news media resulting is a population that really has no idea of what they are up against, but are being told they will die if they don't blindly follow the instructions from the same idiot politicians.

We have bred a segment of fools and now put them into positions of authority and let them tell us what to do.  God help us!

Coronavirus package contains $11 billion for three international development organizations

The funding for these three international organizations was not an 11th-hour addition; it was included in the original Republican version of the coronavirus bill.
