Tellis did it. He should be dead already. What is wrong w/ these juries? Tellis should be slow roasted for a few hours until he dies.

Really sad and young women don't learn to choose wisely.  It would be interesting to know the makeup of the juries.

I remember hearing about this case. The testimony of the first responder was heartbreaking.

but he was absolutely sure she said “Eric”

The prosecutor tried to show the damage to her throatwould make it distorted, but why would she call her boyfriend Tellis? When she always called him Quint.

The report I read said they met two weeks before. If that's true I wouldn't call him a boyfriend.

The original first responder testified that he actually did not hear anything, that his initial statement was wrong & due to the chaos. He only heard other responders say she said "Eric" or "Derrick".

Cell phone records put Tellis there.

Based on the news reports I would string him up tomorrow.

The jurors have been taught that they don't have to convict black guys.

This is a heartbreaking case. On one hand yes, she should have known better. OTOH, no one deserves such a death. I understand that there were abuses in the past but I really think that massive retribution by the state is the only thing that will keep monsters in check, regardless of their color.

I agree there has got to be a way for the prosecution to place him there with physical evidence and cell phone records. Motive, Method, and Opportunity.

but the defense is going to hammer the “dying words” approach until it can be refuted adequately to convince a jury of culpability behind the reasonable doubt requirement.

The CSI effect is strong in this case
