Christ, do do that.  It's just stupid.

If you don't like 'em, don't support 'em, or whatever, I happen to agree with you.

But theres a lot of kids in low income families that would love to have something "cool" for a change.  Donate them, for heavens sake.  It'll brighten some kids day, and possibly give some lower wage earner a break.

And, by the way, Nike doesn't give two shits if you burn their stuff or not.  They got all they needed out of the owner.

Relax it's just a picture.  I haven't owned a pair of Nike shoes in years.

Nike shares are down 3% already today due to the ad...

So are Adidas and Puma.  If Nike feels anything from this it will be a few days or a week at least - at least for anything substantial.

If they get too much heat they'll drop it.  Nike is just trying to make money.

I don’t buy Nikes. Never bought a single pair. But I hate that this loser is going to get a big paycheck for practically nothing more than a few photo shoots and promotional appearances.

He is no fool. He saw his prospects in football getting slim and he made a name for himself.

According to Darren Rovell, Kap has been getting paid the whole time by Nike.  Now whether that is just in jersey sale royalties or something else, I don't know.

Biggest problem I have with Nike is that the shoes just aren't that good.  New Balance and Adidas are IMO much better.  So are Asics and Brooks, I'm told.

Most big-time runners don't use Nike.  Personally they don't fit me correctly.

Pro athletes that use Nike cleats probably don't get the same cleat that you or I would buy.

I have some Nike Clemson shirts (Nike does all of Clemson's uniforms, as they do for a lot of other teams).  I'm not going to burn them.

As far as Kaepernick actually sacrificing everything that is certainly a bunch of bullshit.

1. Without the Nike contract he just got he was already a millionaire.

2. He is not under indictment and does not appear to be in any danger of losing his liberty.

So he is a millionaire who is free to do as he pleases and Nike is attempting to sell this as losing everything?

By donating them, you are helping to expand their brand reach, followed by future purchases, increasing their profit eventually.

These products are also walking AD banners. The only way to prevent any further profits from your Nike products will be to prevent any public exposure. So what's the point of hiding them in your closet if you can make a statement for a change by disposing them, and showing it?

We let the left burn our flag all the time, shouldn't we be able to do the same with a product from a company? This wouldn't even be any disrespect to our people or our country.

It's time that we as conservatives (may not apply to you personally) change our pace and how we deal with the current situation. Sitting at home and being inactive won't be enough anymore.

Low income kids don’t need your crappy used sneakers. And the last thing we want to do is perpetuate the idea Nike’s are “cool”. Nike does give a ****. Stock is way overpriced, like the products. All they have is the brand and if it tanks, they’re done. Light em up.

That would be great if low income family kids had some adults in their lives to feed and clothe them.  In my family growing up we, my siblings and I, had some people like that. We called them mom and dad.

We had mom and dad, too.

But, just as it was for many of you guys growing up, we didn't have much.  Farm life provided plenty of food and hard work, but little else.

A few times a year, I'd get off the bus and make to the house, to find a paper grocery sack with clothes from a neighbor or a cousin that had boys a little older than me.  Every now and them, I'd find a pair of Levi's without any holes or patches.

I was on top of the world on those days, and I've never forgotten the feeling of actually having something nice, just out of the blue like that.

Y'all are preoccupied with indignation and the affront to common values that you are ignoring the purpose.

How many folk were talking about, twittering about, Nike last week?

Or celebrity newsreaders breathlessly reporting on Nike or professional liars endlessly debating a shoe company in their stentorian manner on the hallowed floors of Congress last week?

Nike wins.

I suggest that the company couldn't care less about a washed-up, hippie socialist, ex-quarterback.
