Winter will be 'teeth-chattering' cold, plenty of snow

I miss the snow. Haven't seen any in many years. Wouldn't mind putting some proper tires on my truck and using it accordingly. Heck, I'd even enjoy snow plowing or pulling others out of the ditch.

Only time I put it in 4WD around my neck is for a boosted start without the trans managing the torque down.

End of October for us.

Teeth-chattering-cold...……...SNOW???    I don't want no stinking SNOW.  It ruins the sand castles on the beach. Can you imagine a giant snowman walking around the beach kicking all the little kids sand castles???  That would be some kind of serious s***.  After all,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,THIS IS FLORIDA.  I knew something like this would happen.  Just as soon as that damn Socialist gets to run for Governor everything goes to Hell and it threatens to SNOW all over everything.  Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Humbug!

Here on the Texas Gulf Coast we are preparing for record lows.  This winter it may even dip down into the 60's.  School closings and a run on bread and batteries is expected.  I may be forced to put on a jacket.  The humanity of it all.

Several winters ago, we had in-laws visit from Florida.  We had a huge bonfire going and some of them still borrowed gloves, boots, hats, coats; even had sleeping bags wrapped around them.  A couple of them were almost, literally, in tears.

I didn't even bring up that it was only, like, 35°.

Almost killed them.

Coldest times I've spent were out on the range, training "recruits", and couldn't step off.  For the recruits it was worse, because they were restricted as to what they could wear.  I at least had plenty of layers and could move around, but the wind still bit.  Last January was bad.  Amazing that winter is cold.  Who'd have thunk it?
