Anyone else remember seeing the Air Force Thunderbirds when they were flying F-100 Super Sabres and the Navy Blue Angels when they were flying Grumman F-9F Panthers and F-11 Tigers?

Anyone else feeling really old.  :sigh:

Wasn't born yet.

You can make anything fly if you push it hard enough......

Burt Ruttan creation.

He doesn't make anything usual.

Of course not.  What fun would that be?

Damn.  That took some balls.  It would be SO tempting to drop an orange through the rotors.

I sure as hell wouldn't DO it, but it would be tempting.

They have 3 Turbine Otters, plus a piston Beaver, 2 Super Cubs, a 4 seat Bush Hawk, and a helicopter.

Pretty sure I've touched the Otter in your pic, and flown in the Beaver you mention.

Is that real?

.

It is indeed.

The Lun-class ekranoplan is not an aircraft, it is a ground-effect vessel.

They made one of them and if I recall, it was actually in service.

aircarver broke the other prototypes, returned them in cardboard boxes with Sticky Notes reading, Try again.

I guess I should confirm stuff rather than relying on my memory.

I guess this means no ice cream for me tomorrow.

As an excuse, I didn't get my nap this afternoon.
