Washington Post turns on one of it's own

Even they couldn't rationalize or spin all the BS. Maybe the Left is having second thoughts about this dingbat being the poster girl for the Democrat Party.

The Washington Post’s Glenn Kessler reviewed various dubious claims made by Ocasio-Cortez over the past several weeks and found all of them to be false. (RELATED: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Wiggles Out Of Question About Potentially Backing Pelosi For Speaker)

The following Ocasio-Cortez claims were checked by WaPo:

1. “Unemployment is low because everyone has two jobs. Unemployment is low because people are working 60, 70, 80 hours a week and can barely feed their family.” — July interview on PBS’ “Firing Line.”

2. “ICE is the only criminal investigative agency, the only enforcement agency in the United States, that has a bed quota. So ICE is required to fill 34,000 beds with detainees every single night and that number has only been increasing since 2009.” — May interview with The Intercept

3. “They [national Democrats] were campaigning most when we had more of an American middle class. This upper-middle class is probably more moderate but that upper-middle-class does not exist anymore in America.” — August interview on “Pod Save America”

4. “In a Koch brothers-funded study — if any study’s going to try to be a little bit slanted, it would be one funded by the Koch brothers — it shows that Medicare for all is actually much more, is actually much cheaper than the current system that we pay right now.” — August interview on CNN with Chris Cuomo

5. “The reason that the Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act is because they ruled that each of these monthly payments that everyday American make is a tax. And so, while it may not seem like we pay that tax on April 15th, we pay it every single month or we do pay at tax season if we don’t buy, you know, these plans off of the exchange.” — August interview on CNN with Cortez,

Kessler rated all of these “false” and called Ocasio-Cortez’s claims “eyebrow-raising.”

Only a Democrat could be dumb as a pair of duck boots, and still be heralded as the future of the Party.  AOC is deathly afraid to debate a conservative who is intelligent and able to communicate.  Free college.  Free healthcare.  Free food.  Free welfare.  Free phones.  Free transportation.  Free housing.  Just dog whistles for the greedy and lazy.

Edit to correct "intelligence".

The promise of free stuff cost over 100 million lives in the 20th century. And that's a very conservative figure.

34,000 * 365 days = 12,410,000 people per year detained.

Lets say this started on Jan 1 of 2009:

12,410,000 * 8 years (2009-2017) = 99,280,000

August 15 is the 227th day of 2018 so thats 7,718,000 for this year.

Therefore 106,998,000 people would have been detained by ICE since Jan 1, 2009.

The population of the US (Feb 2018) was estimated to be 327,160,000.

Therefore ICE has detained 32.7% of the population, in just 9 years! Those bastards!! I was wondering why 1/3 of all the homes in my neighborhood were empty. Where do they put them all? Those private prisons with the cages for kids must be HUGE!

Seriously, don't people do math anymore?!

She apparently had the same teacher for Arithmetic class as Chelsea Clinton, judging from her last news comments also.

She also seems to be missing the point that Barack Obama was responsible for all those detainees regardless of how many there actually were, for seven of those 8 years.

The sad part is that, although each of those countries was run by "Communist" parties, and described themselves as moving towards Communism, they were all run by SOCIALIST governments.  Only Socialist governments could exercise complete and absolute control over their populations.  Yet, Socialism is viewed favorably by a majority of Democrats and school teachers.  I wonder why, when almost every school teacher is a Socialist, young people view Socialism favorably.  Hmmmm.

I thought we might be in trouble in the House with the coming "blue wave."  However, I'm feeling a lot better because AOC is the "future" of the Demo party.  Unfortunately, I don't believe the big money movers and shakers of the Dem party will allow the AOC train wreck to continue - hence the WaPo fact check.
