Didn't look it up but isn't a blue flame the hottest?

Edit, did get to wondering if I was right.  Starting reading and it gets pretty complex so I'll just stay with the following.

"A blue flame means complete combustion of the gas. With complete combustion, LPG (Propane) burns with a blue flame. Pure hydrocarbons like methane (refined natural gas), propane, butane and ethane gases also burn with a blue flame. These gases are all alkanes and are gas that burns with a blue flame."

I had read that and also know that flames change colors with the content of what is being burned.  I think copper is green for example.  And this is why fireworks look colorful.

But flaming blue lava only seen at night is likely to get a virgin sacrificed!

In fact metal assayers consider the color of the flame
