He had an outboard Big ass generator in the trunk with the trunk lid removed. The whole space behind the driver was occupied by a 1,000 Watt War surplus Tube transmitter and Receiver. He ran full power going down the road with the generator in the back pounding away. He worked the 75 Meter band which is pretty low frequency for running power in an automobile in those days.
