1953 International Harvester Travelall.

Albert Tapp of Bremerton, Washington, bought the eight-passenger International Harvester Travelall new from Snoqualmie Valley Garage on Aug. 25, 1953. He intended to use the combination truck/station wagon, the first-ever sport-utility vehicle, for hunting, fishing and camping trips in nearby Yosemite and Yellowstone national parks.

Joe Scott Jr., owner of the St. Louis Car Museum, bought the 1953 Travelall for his personal collection during a Sotheby’s Auction in January 2017.
