I started out carrying a model 19 4in nickel back in 1980 and have went thru numerous other and numerous automatics over the years a have made it full circle back to carrying a S&W k frame. My current carry gun for the last dozen years our so is a model 65 with the 2in barrel off a model 64, to me it is perfect

I have several. My favorite is an old S&W .45APC that's been down the pike and back. It's still pretty tight and the bore and chambers are pit free. Someone nickle plated it and put target grips on it, so any collector value is long gone. I found those plastic moon clips are pretty bad. I just use my steel ones. If some of my more exotic .45 handloads don't work in my autos, I just feed them to the revolver.

There is just something about the feel of a single action... It's like a familiarity that is imbedded in my DNA...

In all seriousness, I probably should not answer this -- my mind can do a 180 in the next five minutes... :)

But if I were to try and nail it down right now, my "favorite" would come out of three choices.

The first two would be either my S&W 65 or 60-Pro (both 3" barrels):

The third choice will horrify all the purists among you -- it would be my S&W Governor -- I love this clunky piece as disproportionately as the gun itself!

There is one more piece that makes my "high affection" list, although it prolly becomes a bit too specialized to be my "last wheelgun" -- a NAA Black Widow with the CVang grips...

I have one revolver because...they are just darn fun. I mean, really fun.

I have a SW revolver that allows me to shoot .357 and then .38 and I can use moon clips with itl

I use it purely for fun and everyone who shoots it loves it. I start them with .38 and then when they feel ready....357.

Plus I'm lazy and it makes collecting brass easy. I sell my brass to reloaders and ... it's all good.

Super Blackhawk .44 mag. Liked it so much I had to buy a .44 mag Henry rifle to go with it.

Would post pics, but I guess the iPhone 6s photos are over the 2MB limit.

Doc -- I have an Android phone myself, but I'm guessing your iPhone 6s has a feature built into whatever photo editing app it uses to resize your pics. :)

Turns out there is an app for that.

Nice gun, Doc -- and love the orientation of the rounds in your belt loops! :)

.

I got it at a gun show last year before the election. Figured I needed to get some post-ban compliant guns if HRC was going to be picking SCOTUS justices. I found this one at a gun show, in what was going to be the last 6 feet of table I was going to look at. $475 out the door. Must have spent a LOT of time in a safe. 1986 manufacture date.

I own several, but my favorite is a S&W Model 625 Mountain Gun in .45 Colt.

It really likes Missouri Bullets 255 grain LSWC (.453) backed by 8.6 grains of either Unique or Universal in a Starline case and a Federal primer.

Once I figure out how to successfully upload a photo in the file size allowed I will do so.

The Ruger Old Army.

It is a wheelgun, after all.

Stainless steel, rosewood stocks, and can be dry-fired with no harm whatsoever to the NIPPLES.

The final and ultimate development of the cap and ball percussion revolver.

I have owned this revolver for almost twenty years. I have never fired it.

I always planned to take this Ruger to the range, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
