Walt Longmire
Went to the family Thanksgiving day dinner. Lots of kids there. I haven't been sick in years, but it seems I have caught a cold. I'm main lining the vitamin C.
Batesmotel
When I taught school I occasionally had to substitute elementary school. I always picked up a cold. Give me a 9th grader with an attitude and a knife anytime over those little bio-bombs. 1
gwalchmai
Errybody been stayin' home for two years so they immune systems have done atrophied so bad they look like them Denver antifa pajama-boys on the meme channel. Now when folks go out they not just get a cold, but it gets reported as a new variant.

tadbart
I rank kids right up there with rats and fleas and ticks, as far as disease vectors go. They're sticky, they're expensive, and they break. Hard pass. "You want to hold the baby?" "Ew. No! Why would I want to do that???" 1
Huaco Kid
Embrace the germs! The small kids that have been locked in a bubble for the last 1 1/2 years were meant to be constantly exposed to that stuff, and will have to start playing catch-up.
gwalchmai
There are "immune system boot camps" springing up around the country for those who want to "catch up".

jfost11
My nine year old has a runny nose now. She coughed once yesterday morning before I took her out to the bus. I made her blow her nose until nothing came out and drink some Triaminic so I wouldn't get called to come get her and have her out of school the rest of the week. Walt Longmire
I'm on the down hill side of it. Slept in today till 8:30. That's unusual.
jfost11
I slept in until 8:30 today as well. I normally get the kids on the bus at 8:20 so I jumped up in a frenzy. Luckily I hid my confusion as I made it to the living room and realized it was the wife's day off and she had gotten them on the bus. Oh, hey baby. Just going to get some coffee...

In Alaska where it's dark so much of the time in winter.....Friend went home, had a few shots of whiskey and fell asleep on his couch. Woke up several hours later and thought he had over slept. Hauled ass to work and the place was deserted. Yup, 9 pm.

We recently got a new department head and that has changed. But only because the weekday shifts are so far behind on their own work. Too bad for them that I don't really need the money and certainly don't want the aggravation.
