I watched a marathon (three seasons), six or nine months ago.  They are running another one now.  I guess a new season is coming around.

It started out with a magnificent plot:  Biggest ranch in the US vs. the Res, with casino dough and a grudge vs. an uber-rich resort developer.

Halfway through the first season,  they pretty much jumped the shark.  A dozen side-stories woven in with too much miscellaneous drama.

I don't even remember how the third season ended,  but I'm guessing it had little to do with the main plot,  and was chock full of Dallas-drama.

The new season will rock it.  Right?

I like Beth.

  • 4 months later...

I just binged watched all 3 seasons. Seemed very much like a modern Dallas. Beth makes JR look like an angel.

The ending of season 3 was spectacular, I can’t wait until NOv. 7th to see who bit the dust. I think it will be Jimmie.

Why do they put the stupid shows on late Sundays?  I have to be up at midnight monday morning, to travel (within 20 miles of western WY!,  so maybe I will see some smoke from the aftermath).  Maybe I'll sleep during the day (which wastes sunday) and stay up all night.  I'll probably miss it.

And,  like other shows I've liked,  I refuse to watch them out of order.  I lost track of breaking bad,  somewhere through the first season.  I didn't see them until after it was all over,  when I bought them on dvd.

Same with game of thrones.  I saw, maybe, two episodes.  Now I got them on dvd (much to the delight of my whole family, and their friends), but haven't watched a single one.

And sons of anarchy.  Still haven't bought those.

Wow!

NOBODY from the hero-family died!  Then they all spent a good five minutes in the hospital, healing.

Then they killed ALL of the bad guys.  (the flying rattlesnake was a nice touch)

Then they introduced a new bad guy(woman).

So...  nothing really changed.  Kind of just like TWD.

What a great show!
