I’ve had people (idiots) tell me that if I use an AR-15 for home defense they would just grab the barrel as you come around a corner.

”then they will burn their fingers” was my reply

I see no point in aggressing in my home unless someone is in danger.   I'm going to make a stand and if you enter the hall way.   You get 48 projectiles at once.

If the bad guy is standing after the man portable shoulder claymore goes off...i needed an old priest and a young priest...not a firearm.

I carry a separate flashlight to begin with, so never saw a good reason to put a light on the pistol.  As others pointed out, you're not going to want to point your sidearm at something just to get a better look at it, so you really should carry a flashlight as well.

As for what I carry, Glock 20 gen 4 IWB, with 2 17 round mags (+2 extensions on stock mags) on the opposite hip to balance it out.  My body shape and clothing choices make it relatively easy to conceal, and I've been doing it for so long my pants don't fit right without it.

The home defense AR pistol has a light, but that's the only one, as I don't have any expectation of using anything else for nighttime defense.
