l'm interested. Actually on the phone with them now, asking about their hot spot services. I use hot spot as my internet at home.

It's all the same. You get 40 gigs of 4g lte, then it throttles to 600kbs. But that's better than AT&T's throttling to 144kbs.

Still chatting with them.

Found that T-Mobile has a stand-alone wifi hot-spot, with service that costs $50 a month for 100gb per month of 4g lte. And you can get an additional 40gb 4g lte for $15 (it bills automatically once you go over the first 100 gb) one time, each month.

So for $65 a month, I can have 140gb of 4g lte internet service. I'm getting 30 gb of 4g lte per month from AT&T through my cell service, and that's just not enough.

And that means I then need to switch my AT&T service to the most basic of phone/text service, to lower my over-all costs.

I've got to actually do this this time. Not look into it and then do nothing, all the while bitching about AT&T.

ETA; here's the problem.

I'm betting I go ahead and order the T-Mobile mobil hot-spot gizmo, and start the service, and then they jack the monthly price up. There's no contract, so they're free to do that.

Just a funny side note.

A friend is going through a nasty divorce. Her husband is still living in the house. He has basically been living locked in his home office for about four years anyway.

He is an abusive ass and is breaking all the rules and laws under Utah law when going through a divorce. I’m helping her do little things to get even but staying within the law.

A few days ago we told her to activate a Porn Blocker on her internet. You know, “ For the Children”.

After hearing him throw a temper tantrum in his office and hear a few things get smashed he started using his phone as a WiFi hot spot. Problem is he has burned through so much data the internet is throttled back to almost nothing. Her kids can’t get videos to reliably play.

He is in a VERY bad mood this week. He pissed me off 20 years ago. Payback is a bitch.
