railfancwb
Word usage comes and goes. Tactical has been in heavy use in some environments, as has Elite. Curate/Curated has recently come into vogue. Are there words which in your opinion have worn out their welcome?

Borg warner
I never thought that calling vegetables "Veggies" was all that cute or clever, and the longer it remains in common use makes me wonder if I'll live long enough for the term to become something nobody ever says anymore. And in realm of firearms I feel the same way about shotguns being referred to as "Shotties'. 6

Maser
Gun related: I am sick to death of suppressors being called a "can" and I wish it was legal to beat the hell out of people who use that term. Non-gun related: This is somewhat of a new thing, but I am sick of being called "fam". Like above I wish it was legal to beat the hell out of people who call me that. 5

Rottweilers are a marvelous loving machine with teeth. Rotties is a loving familiar contraction of the name. Both are wonderful.

Calling Rottweilers "Rotties" is acceptable, just like calling a dog a doggie, because dogs are cute and lovable, but guns are not cute and shouldn't be given cutesie names. holyjohnson
'Operator' that has to be done now. 'Kit' as in Tactical gear usually carried for Defense, also times up. 'Literally' is long overdue. and Rotties are cool, me and Rottweilers get along great so we`re on a First name basis.
NPTim
My mother used to call breakfast, “brekers”, irritated the **** out of me. Also, “champers” for champagne.

Russel P
Hoodie--hooded sweatshirt Kicks--shoes Script--prescription Smash--eat something quickly (devour) OR to have casual sex with someone Throw shade--speak bad of someone Come at me--stop running your mouth and show me what you got Other day was in the grocery and the guy in front of me asked the checkout girl if she had a WAP. Her face almost hit the counter followed by a dirty look from her and she said nothing to him from there on out. I actually did not hear him say it, 6 feet away and such but she told me about this when I approached the counter. I did not know what it meant, but she told me it is a phrase that is associated with Cardi B. When I got home I looked it up and my jaw dropped too. Feel free to look it up for yourself, but be ready for your jaw to drop. Yes, this is my first post here and no that is not my real name. You can fill in the blanks as far as the story behind it, I am sure it is not that difficult. I have not seen an official introduce yourself thread, but I might have missed it. Anyways, hello from Northern Wisconsin. It has been a while since I have been shooting. The two ranges near me are shut down, one because people cannot manage to hit the berm at the back of the range that is literally bigger then the broad sides of two barns, and the other was shut down because of damage done to the shooting stalls and now they say Covid is the cause. On the plus side I now have more ammo in varied calibers then I have ever had in my life. 6

It would be extremely ill-mannered and rude to say that to any woman in public but I guess it was that guy's idea of "The Direct approach". My idea of the "direct approach" shows a great deal more class. I used to just walk up to an attractive woman and ask if she wanted to have sex. And if she said no, I would follow that up with, "well, would you mind holding still while I did?"
